- First of Its Kind: Namma Metro is the first metro system globally to offer complete ticketing through WhatsApp.
- How It Works:
- Ticket Purchase: Choose entry and exit stations on the WhatsApp Chatbot, and the app calculates the fare.
- Payment: Complete the payment through any preferred digital mode of UPI.
- Ticket Generation: After payment, a QR code appears on the WhatsApp, acting as the commuter’s ticket.
- Entry and Exit: Show the QR code at the entry and exit gates for seamless entry.
- Refund and Validity:
- Single-Day Validity: QR tickets are valid for a single day, allowing flexibility in journey timing.
- Refunds: Users can cancel the QR ticket before entry if a refund is needed. Refunds take up to seven days and are issued to the original payment source.
- Non-Refundable After Entry: Once scanned at the entry gate, the ticket is non-refundable.
The biggest advantage of this Namma Metro WhatsApp ticket is you don’t need to stand in Queue for tokens. Also in case if Bangalore Metro Smart card is forgotten or left somewhere then this WhatsApp QR ticket comes handy.
